The New York Knicks moved to the brink of their first NBA Finals appearance in 27 years after defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 121-108 on Saturday night at Rocket Arena.
The victory gave the Knicks a 3-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Jalen Brunson led the offense with 30 points, while Mikal Bridges and OG Anunoby added 22 and 21 points respectively.
The Knicks shot 55.8% from the field, hit 11 three-pointers, and made 24 of 27 free throws.
Cleveland's Evan Mobley scored 24 points and Donovan Mitchell added 23, but the Cavaliers struggled from beyond the arc, shooting just 12-of-41 on three-pointers and converting only 12 of 19 free throws.
New York outscored Cleveland 17-4 in fast-break points and scored 19 points off turnovers, leading the entire game.
The Knicks' dominance continued despite a courtside appearance by Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce.
Shamet's Fourth-Quarter Burst Seals Win
Landry Shamet provided a crucial spark in the fourth quarter, hitting three three-pointers in a 99-second span to extend the Knicks' lead to 105-94.
He finished with 14 points off the bench.
Karl-Anthony Towns contributed 13 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. All five Knicks starters scored in double figures.
"We've just have to keep our mind on the task at hand. The game is over and we found a way to win.
We have to execute at a high level in Game 4," Towns said.
Cavaliers coach Kenny Atkinson acknowledged his team's struggles. "I think their physicality and energy, we couldn't get to that level to combat it," he said.
"They're on a hell of a run. We haven't been able to stop the momentum."
New York seized control early, jumping to a 9-1 lead in the opening two minutes and closing the first quarter ahead 37-27 after hitting 12 of their first 17 shots.
"Our guys were locked in from the beginning of the game and it showed from the first few minutes of the game.
We got a lot of great contributions," said Knicks coach Mike Brown.
Cleveland briefly tied the game at 50-50 in the second quarter on a James Harden jumper, but the Knicks closed the half on a 10-1 run and never relinquished the lead.
"It's the next-man-up mentality and the guys found me a few times.
We knew we were going to get a real good punch from that team, and we weathered their best punches tonight," Shamet said.
Game 4 is scheduled for Monday night in Cleveland, where the Knicks will attempt to complete a series sweep.
