UFC CEO Dana White has confirmed that the mixed martial arts promotion will never stage another event at the White House, following the conclusion of UFC Freedom 250 on June 14, 2026.

The outdoor event, held on the South Lawn in Washington, D. C.

, celebrated President Donald Trump's 80th birthday and the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

White praised the event's performance metrics but cited severe financial and operational challenges as the primary reasons for the permanent venue restriction.

"It was an amazing experience, this was a one-of-one," White said, according to NPR. "It will never happen again."

The organization covered a $60 million bill for the single evening, which included constructing a cage at a federal landmark and managing weather risks.

"I can't afford it," White stated. "I'll never do the Sphere again and we'll never do this again."

Fighter Incidents and Political Undertones

The event drew thousands of fans to watch parties on the Ellipse but was marked by behavioral issues from some fighters.

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland was escorted from the premises by police, while heavyweight Josh Hokit faced criticism for spreading an unfounded conspiracy theory about former first lady Michelle Obama.

White downplayed the political nature of the fights, emphasizing the evening was intended as a patriotic celebration.

"Hopefully tonight created some unity," White said.

"Even for the people that thought this was going to be some big political statement or something, this wasn't.

This was Americans, all Americans celebrating the birthday."

He expressed hope that the high-profile venue would attract a broader audience ahead of the company's International Fight Week in Las Vegas.

Main Event and Future Plans

Inside the cage, Justin Gaethje secured the UFC lightweight title by defeating Ilia Topuria, earning a combined $825,000 in bonuses.

Gaethje admitted that touring the West Wing and viewing historical documents before his bout created an unusual pre-fight experience.

"Usually, I kind of blank out when it comes to getting ready to walk to the cage," Gaethje said.

"It was pretty crazy, looking at the Declaration of Independence. The original one."

The organization is now preparing for UFC 329 in Nevada, featuring the return of Conor McGregor.

President Donald Trump attended the seven-card event with his family, later posting on Truth Social that the night was "PERFECT!"
