ESPN NFL draft analyst Matt Miller has announced he is taking an indefinite leave from his role following a severe car crash in Missouri that required a life-saving amputation.
The accident occurred on June 18 when Miller, 42, collided with a semi-truck. He underwent amputation of his left arm and suffered multiple fractures.
Recovery and Fundraiser
In a social media statement, Miller said: "I'm focused on my recovery and taking things one day at a time."
He thanked supporters for their prayers.
A fundraising campaign raised over $50,000 for medical expenses, with support from prominent ESPN figures.
However, the fundraiser was halted amid allegations that Miller mishandled payments for side endeavors, including fantasy football leagues.
According to Awful Announcing, numerous individuals claimed they paid substantial fees for services never delivered.
Investigation Underway
The Missouri state attorney general's office confirmed an open investigation into Miller's activities and urged anyone who feels misled to come forward.
Miller's statement did not address the investigation. He noted that his surgeries were successful and expressed gratitude for support.
