The England and Wales Cricket Board announced its 2027 home schedule on July 23, 2026, featuring three concurrent Ashes series alongside visits from Pakistan, New Zealand, and Bangladesh.
The summer includes men's, women's, and mixed disability Ashes contests.
The Men's Ashes begins at Trent Bridge on June 18, followed by matches at Lord's, Edgbaston, the Utilita Bowl—hosting its first Men's Ashes Test—and the Kia Oval.
A pre-series fixture between Australia Men and England Lions is scheduled at Emirates Old Trafford from June 7 to 10.
Starting June 24 at Headingley, the Metro Bank Women's Ashes Test marks the venue's first women's Ashes Test since 2001.
The series continues with three Vitality IT20s and three Metro Bank ODIs across major venues.
England Men will open their home summer with five ODIs against Pakistan starting May 15, followed by a one-off Test against Bangladesh at Lord's from May 28, before concluding their season against New Zealand in September.
The ECB also confirmed that The Oval will host the ICC World Test Championship Final from June 9 to 13, 2027.
ECB Chief Executive Officer Richard Gould highlighted the significance of the upcoming summer schedule for English cricket.
"The Ashes is the pinnacle of our sport and it is significant that next summer we will have three England teams playing against Australia at venues across the country," said Gould.
Reflecting on previous home series, he noted the dramatic contests that defined past encounters between the two nations.
"The last time Australia were here made for captivating cricket, in a way that only the Ashes can provide, as both of our Men’s and Women’s teams fought back to level the series in dramatic circumstances," said Gould.
He emphasized historic venue selections, including a landmark moment for disability sports coverage.
"Next summer will see the men’s team play a Rothesay Ashes Test at the Utilita Bowl for the very first time, while the women’s team will play an Ashes Test at Headingley for the first time since 2001," said Gould.
He also pointed out the broader inclusivity reflected in the 2027 international program.
"It’s also important that this summer shines a light on every part of our cricketing landscape and the inclusion of the England Men’s Mixed Disability team during an Ashes summer is a landmark moment," said Gould.
Turning to incoming touring nations, he discussed the return of Bangladesh for historic fixtures.
"We are also excited to welcome Bangladesh Men for a one-off Test at Lord’s, which will be the first time we have played them at home in a Test since 2010 while also hosting Bangladesh Women in a white-ball series," said Gould.
He concluded by framing the summer as vital preparation for upcoming global competitions.
"With New Zealand Men touring as part of a white‑ball series that will be invaluable for our England Men’s team ahead of the 2027 ICC Men’s World Cup, we have a summer schedule that offers high‑quality cricket across all formats and for all our England teams and fans," said Gould.
Neil Snowball, ECB Managing Director of Competitions and Major Events, commented on securing major tournament hosting rights.
"We are honoured to be staging the next three ICC World Test Championship Finals in England and Wales, and we’re pleased to confirm that The Oval will play host again next year.
The 2023 final at The Oval was a huge hit with broadcasters and fans, and I’ve no doubt that next year’s event will be extra special again," said Snowball.
Snowball anticipated high international interest for the showpiece event in London.
"This promises to be another fantastic opportunity for cricket fans in this country and from around the world to see the best two Test teams in the world from the past two years taking each other on in a showpiece event," said Snowball.
All England Men's and Women's international matches throughout the 2027 home season will be broadcast live on Sky.
