The Southeastern Conference officially released its full 18-game men's basketball conference schedule for the 2026-27 season on July 27, 2026.
League play begins Saturday, Jan. 2, with each member institution playing nine home and nine road games.
Opening Day Highlights
The opening day on Jan. 2 features several key matchups.
Vanderbilt travels to in-state rival Tennessee, Arkansas hosts Missouri, Kentucky opens at Oklahoma, Georgia visits Ole Miss, and Auburn takes on Texas A&M on the road.
Vanderbilt will play home-and-home series against traditional rivals Kentucky and Tennessee, along with a rotating two-game series against Texas A&M.
The Commodores host Mississippi State, South Carolina, Auburn, Missouri, Arkansas, and Texas at Memorial Gymnasium, while traveling to Florida, Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia, Alabama, and Oklahoma.
Arkansas opens and closes its regular season at Bud Walton Arena. After their opener against Missouri, the Razorbacks host Alabama on Jan.
9, Georgia on Jan. 19 or 20, LSU on Jan.
26 or 27, Mississippi State on Jan. 30, Ole Miss on Feb.
9 or 10, Auburn on Feb. 16 or 17, Florida on Feb.
27, and Oklahoma in the regular-season finale on March 6.
Missouri's schedule includes home matchups against Texas A&M, Kentucky, South Carolina, Alabama, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and LSU.
Head coach Dennis Gates noted that Missouri currently has 11 or 12 non-conference games lined up, including dates against UNLV, Cleveland State, Saint Louis, Marquette, Alcorn State, Evansville, Pittsburgh, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, and Illinois.
Kentucky will host John Calipari and Arkansas at Rupp Arena on Feb. 20 and visit Florida for their regular-season finale on March 6.
Georgia enters its fifth season under head coach Mike White with 11 of its 18 conference games against teams that earned 2026 NCAA Tournament bids, including home dates against Texas, Florida, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, and Missouri.
Auburn faces a demanding opening stretch, playing four consecutive conference games against 2026 NCAA Tournament teams—Texas A&M, Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas—before wrapping up its regular season at home against rival Alabama on March 6.
The SEC Tournament will take place from March 10-14 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
