Suki Waterhouse revealed that her two-year-old daughter has a special nickname for fiancé Robert Pattinson: "Daddy Batman."
The musician shared the adorable detail during an appearance on the "And The Writer Is" podcast on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.
Waterhouse explained that their daughter, born in March 2024, often sees Pattinson in his superhero makeup during video calls while he works on "The Batman Part II."
"She calls him, like, 'Daddy Batman' now because he's always dressed up like that for the next seven months whenever he's on FaceTime," said Waterhouse.
The 34-year-old singer described a recent video call where Pattinson was still covered in theatrical blood and heavy eye makeup.
"She's on FaceTime to her dad who today is covered in blood with huge black circles around his eyes and I'm like, 'Hi, is it fine?'
And we're just like, 'It's fine,'" said Waterhouse.
Waterhouse added that their daughter is also starting to recognize her mother's music career, pointing out guitars in books and identifying her songs ahead of the "Loveland Tour."
Family Life and Parenting
The couple, together since 2018, have spoken about balancing their careers with raising their child, whose name remains private.
Waterhouse shared that one of her favorite routines is spending time outdoors with the family after work.
"We have, like, a routine of putting her in the swimming pool and jumping in and out of the pool," said Waterhouse.
"That's just always the most fun, like, end of the day, 5 p. m.
, we all get in the pool and be silly. It's amazing."
Pattinson has also opened up about how fatherhood changed his perspective.
"I have so much more patience. It's funny, it's not even patience; I genuinely enjoy hanging out with babies.
That surprised me," said Pattinson in an interview with Icon Magazine.
He joked about how his style and conversations have shifted since becoming a dad.
"It's also funny how you start having real, normie conversations — about things like schools or daycares… it's so strange.
It's like, there's this gravitational pull…Like, I have to wear Patagonia puffer jackets and cargo shorts now.
I just have to," said Pattinson.
Waterhouse recalled planning their daughter's birth in a Vogue interview.
"We really planned it.
One day, we looked at each other and said, 'Well, this is as ready as we're going to be,'" said Waterhouse.
"I was like, 'What can make more chaos?'"
She praised Pattinson's calm presence during the delivery.
"He was there with me and, like all dads, he was really nervous, but for someone who's quite an anxious person, he's been very calm," said Waterhouse.
"I mean, a dad and his daughter? It's an actual love story."
Pattinson also reflected on how fatherhood changed his approach to work and travel in a separate conversation with GQ.
"I didn't mind [children]. I would tolerate them," said Pattinson, adding that being with his daughter became "the most fun thing.
I think it's absolutely wonderful."
He emphasized that balancing filming with family life requires strict time management.
"It's just that everything is time management, the whole time. I mean, it's kind of obvious, but you don't realize it until you do it," said Pattinson.
The actor noted that being away from family for extended periods takes a physical toll.
"Even if you're on the other side of the planet, you're like, 'Okay, I cannot spend more than 10 days away.'
After 10 days of being away, it's physical pain. It's so interesting, your body chemistry changes without you even thinking about it," said Pattinson.
