Rescue crews have located four bodies on Pakistan's Broad Peak, following an avalanche that struck an expedition of international mountaineers.
Six team members remain missing as search-and-rescue operations continue in the Karakoram range.
The avalanche hit midday Thursday on the 26,401-foot peak, the world's 12th-highest mountain.
The Alpine Club of Pakistan confirmed losing communication with its expedition team shortly before the disaster.

Irfan Arshad Khan, president of the Alpine Club of Pakistan, confirmed the discovery of the deceased climbers in an Instagram statement on Friday.
"Search-and-rescue operations remain ongoing, and we urge the public to await verified updates before drawing conclusions," the club said in a separate statement.
"The Alpine Club of Pakistan extends its continued thoughts to the climbers and their families during this difficult time," the organization added.
Official updates have not clarified whether the four discovered bodies were recovered from the mountain.
Expedition Members
The ten expedition members include renowned climber Nirmal Purja and American wellness entrepreneur Mallory Geis.
Others are Sohail Sakhi of Pakistan, Wang Zhong of China, Nadhira Ahmed Abdullah Al Harthy of Oman, and Nepalese climbers Pur Bahadur Gurung, Kili Pemba Sherpa, Nima Sherpa, Nawang Thindu Sherpa, and Gyalu Sherpa.
