The Seattle Kraken will host the Calgary Flames on October 4, 2026, at Climate Pledge Arena in a Pacific Division matchup.

Seattle is seeking home success, while Calgary aims to rebound from consecutive losses.

The Kraken enter the contest with a 1-1-0 record after an opening stretch that included a dominant road victory over Calgary and a battle against Edmonton.

Penalty discipline remains a primary focal point for Seattle after recording three first-period infractions against the Oilers.

Those infractions limited their early offensive momentum before their speed game took over later in the contest.

Forward Mackie Samoskevich logged under 12 minutes of ice time on Seattle's fourth line during the Edmonton game while being eased back from an eight-day stint on injured reserve.

Seattle's coaching staff is considering moving Samoskevich into a top-line role to provide greater offensive balance alongside existing line combinations led by Chandler Stephenson, Matty Beniers, and Berkly Catton.

Calgary's Early Struggles

Calgary enters the division battle at 0-2-0 after yielding a third-period lead in a 4-1 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.

The Flames have scored two total goals across their first two games while allowing ten.

They have also struggled with penalty troubles after committing five minor infractions in each of their opening contests.

Goaltender Dustin Wolf is expected to start in net for Calgary after teammate Devin Cooley handled goaltending duties during Saturday night's action.

The Kraken roster currently excludes Jake O'Brien due to a lower-body injury and Jacob Melanson due to an upper-body injury.

Calgary remains without forward Jonathan Huberdeau because of a hip injury.
