General Motors is widening the reach of its forthcoming autonomous driving technology across more of its vehicle lineup.
The automaker said the expansion is part of a longer-term ambition to enable driverless errand runs in the future.
A Future Without the Driver
Under the plan, the technology would eventually allow a vehicle to carry out routine tasks on its own, without anyone behind the wheel.
GM has not specified which models will receive the system or when the driverless errand capability might arrive.
The announcement positions the expansion as a step toward broader availability of autonomous driving features rather than a single flagship launch.
For now, the company is framing the move around future potential, with details on timing and vehicle coverage still limited.
