Portland-based independent production company Blue Ox Films has earned Sports Emmy Award nominations for both of its debut feature-length documentaries.
The Television Academy announced the nominations on May 25, 2026. The two nominated projects are "Air Force Elite: Thunderbirds" and "We Beat the Dream Team."

The nominations mark a major milestone for the young film company, which specializes in sports, culture, and character-driven storytelling.
Cinematography Recognition
"Air Force Elite: Thunderbirds" received its nomination for Outstanding Cinematography: Documentary, according to a company statement reported by KOIN 6 News media partner Portland Tribune.
The film was produced in collaboration with Netflix, Higher Ground Productions, and Supper Club. It provides behind-the-scenes access to the United States Air Force Thunderbirds flight team.
The second project, "We Beat the Dream Team," earned its recognition while highlighting numerous legendary figures from sports history.

Moses Musilu, producer of "We Beat the Dream Team," said being part of the project was an honor.
"Sitting in rooms with legend after legend, hearing their stories and perspectives firsthand, was surreal," he said.
Musilu added that the nomination serves as a significant acknowledgment for the entire production crew.
"The Emmy nomination is an incredible bonus, but what means the most is seeing everyone who poured their time and talent into this project get recognized.
