Tottenham Hotspur has reached a verbal agreement to sign Bournemouth defender Marcos Senesi on a free transfer, according to football journalist Matteo Moretto.
The North London club moved quickly after securing their Premier League survival on Sunday, May 24, 2026.

Senesi, 28, will join on a four-year contract when his Bournemouth deal expires in July. The verbal agreement was confirmed on Monday, May 25.
Moretto reported that Tottenham is beating several European clubs to the signing.
Liverpool had shown interest in the Argentine center-back but allowed Spurs a clear path to finalize the deal.

Senesi was a key defensive asset for Bournemouth this season. He helped manager Andoni Iraola guide the team to Europa League qualification.
Statistically, Senesi outperformed current Tottenham defender Micky van de Ven in assists, tackles, interceptions, blocks, and total duels won.
Tottenham's defensive overhaul also includes the arrival of veteran full-back Andrew Robertson on a free transfer, as reported by Ben Jacobs.
