Italian tennis player Jasmine Paolini will face Dayana Yastremska in the opening round of the 2026 French Open on Monday.
The match is scheduled for the second day of first-round action at Roland Garros.

Paolini enters the tournament after dropping out of the top 10 rankings.
She lost significant points following an early exit at the Italian Open in Rome, where she failed to defend her title.
Despite that, she remains in the WTA top 15.
Yastremska comes into the match on a five-match winning streak, all from the WTA 125 tournament in Parma.
However, she suffered first-round losses in Madrid and Rome, raising questions about her form against higher-ranked opponents.

Historically, Paolini holds a commanding 6-1 head-to-head record over Yastremska.
Observers note that Yastremska's Parma title came at a lower-level tournament, which offers different conditions than a major championship against a top-15 player.
Other First-Round Matches
World number 25 Liudmila Samsonova will face Jil Belen Teichmann, who is just outside the top 200.
Samsonova recently reached the round of 32 in both Madrid and Rome, while Teichmann made the semifinals in Rabat last week.
World number 62 Daria Kasatkina meets world number 59 Zeynep Sonmez. Kasatkina reached the quarterfinals in Strasbourg after winning the La Bisbal WTA 125 tournament.
