The Ontario Hockey League champion Kitchener Rangers aim to secure a record-breaking seventh tournament final berth on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, during a crucial round-robin matchup against the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League champion Chicoutimi Sagueneens at the Memorial Cup in Kelowna, British Columbia.
Kitchener enters the contest with a perfect 2-0-0 record following a dominant 5-0 shutout against the host Kelowna Rockets and a subsequent 6-2 victory over the Western Hockey League champion Everett Silvertips on Monday.

A win on Tuesday night will advance the Rangers directly into the championship final scheduled for May 31.
Chicoutimi searches for a victory to guarantee themselves at least a spot in the semifinal on Friday.
The Sagueneens rebounded from an opening 5-3 loss against Everett to defeat Kelowna 3-2 in overtime on Sunday night, courtesy of a game-winning goal by 2026 NHL draft prospect Liam Lefebvre.
Goaltender Lucas Beckman, an Ottawa Senators prospect, anchored Chicoutimi by stopping 27 of 29 shots after making 32 saves the previous night.
Rangers Focus on Improvement
Kitchener head coach Jussi Ahokas emphasized the importance of continuous improvement during the tournament.
"That’s how it goes but we want to keep getting better and we need to play our best game in the tournament so far and if we do that, we win and we’ll go to the final," Ahokas said.
"But I don’t think of the result yet – I think of how we have to address and play the game to get the good result," he added.
