WWE officials are exploring alternative plans for the Clash in Italy premium live event on May 31, 2026, following a legitimate injury to Jacob Fatu that jeopardizes the scheduled main event.

According to PWInsider, Fatu was injured during a non-televised street fight against Solo Sikoa in Liverpool, England.

Fans saw him limping heavily backstage while being evaluated by medical personnel.

The promotion is concerned Fatu may not receive medical clearance in time for his Tribal Combat match against World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns.

The high-stakes bout was set to crown the undisputed "Tribal Chief" after the cousins agreed to terms on the May 25 episode of Monday Night RAW.

The status of the match has not been acknowledged on television. The latest episode of WWE SmackDown on Netflix did not address the situation.

While initial social media reports suggested Fatu was fine, PWInsider Elite confirmed the injury is legitimate and under internal review.

Additional Injury Concerns

Another championship match on the card faces similar uncertainty.

Women's Intercontinental Championship challenger Sol Ruca reportedly sustained an undisclosed injury during her recent Saturday Night's Main Event match against champion Becky Lynch.

The reigning champion reacted publicly on social media, though internal sources indicate Ruca is still traveling to the event location.

Becky Lynch, the Women's Intercontinental Champion, expressed "hopes" regarding the situation.

Tracking from PWInsider suggests Ruca is expected to be present at the arena in Italy.
