All Elite Wrestling updated its official website roster page on May 27, 2026, to formally reassign former world champion Bryan Danielson from the active competitor list to the permanent broadcast team section.
The scheduling adjustment formally aligns the online presence of the promotion with the ongoing non-wrestling role Danielson has occupied since late 2025.

The four-time WWE Champion initially joined All Elite Wrestling in September 2021, securing the AEW World Championship during his tenure before losing the title to Jon Moxley at the WrestleDream pay-per-view event on October 12, 2024.
The match functioned as an in-ring career retirement stipulation due to Danielson experiencing long-term spinal degeneration issues alongside a historical tally of 13 documented concussions.
Despite his retirement, Danielson made a physical appearance at AEW All In: Texas in July 2025 to intervene against Jon Moxley and the Death Riders, and he briefly participated in an eight-second comedic dark match against Max Caster in June 2025.
The company subsequently integrated Danielson into the commentary booth as a full-time announcer starting with the September 10, 2025 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Danielson Discusses Potential Return
In an interview with Justin Barrasso in February, Danielson discussed his physical condition and the possibility of returning to the ring.
"I don't close it off," said Danielson.
The performer noted that assistance from colleague Adam Copeland led him to a physical therapist who significantly aided his recovery process.
"In April of 2025, Adam Copeland sent me to his physical therapist. He said the guy was a miracle worker.
