Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad has identified former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp as their leading candidate to fill their managerial vacancy, following the departure of Francisco Conceicao.
According to journalist Ben Jacobs, Al-Ittihad internally views Klopp as their dream appointment, though club deal-makers acknowledge that securing his services will be nearly impossible.

The club, which finished fifth in the 2025/26 season despite winning the league in 2025, would require substantial financial backing to pursue the highly respected coach.
However, speculation regarding an immediate move to Saudi Arabia was swiftly rejected by Klopp's representative, who clarified that the 58-year-old is focused on his off-pitch responsibilities.
Klopp currently serves as the Global Head of Football at Red Bull, a position he accepted after concluding his historic nine-year tenure at Liverpool at the end of the 2023/24 season.
"There is no possibility for Klopp to manage Al-Ittihad this year," said Marc Kosicke, Klopp's agent.
Before this recent link to the Saudi Pro League, the German manager had also been connected to a potential vacancy at Real Madrid, which he dismissed as entirely fabricated.
"If Real Madrid had phoned, we would have heard about it by now. But that's all nonsense.
They haven't called even once, not once. My agent is there, you can ask him.
They haven't called him either," said Klopp.

Klopp has indicated that while he enjoys his current reduced-stress role overseeing the strategic vision of Red Bull's international football network, he does not consider himself completely retired from coaching.
