Former Bruin Kaitlyn Terry played a key role for Texas Tech, throwing 4.1 innings across two appearances, striking out five and allowing two runs.
Terry delivered an RBI double in the ninth inning and later scored on a UCLA defensive error, giving the Red Raiders a two-run lead.
The Bruins cut the deficit to one run in the bottom of the ninth when Woolery drove in outfielder Rylee Slimp.

UCLA put the tying and go-ahead runs on base with one out, but freshmen Aleena Garcia and Bri Alejandre could not bring them home.
Texas Tech used both Terry and Nijaree Canady in the circle, while UCLA relied solely on Taylor Tinsley, who threw 180 pitches over nine innings.
Tinsley was on track to exit the ninth inning with only one run allowed, but a defensive error by Garcia allowed Terry to score the decisive extra run.
