The New England Patriots finalized a trade on Monday to acquire wide receiver A. J.

Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles. The deal involved two draft picks, according to a report by Sports.

The move reunites head coach Mike Vrabel with Brown.

Brown spent his first three NFL seasons under Vrabel with the Tennessee Titans from 2019 to 2021 before moving to Philadelphia in 2022.

New England prioritized acquiring the star wideout throughout the offseason.

The front office maintained a singular focus on securing him over the last few months to bolster their offense.

Background of the Trade

An internal disagreement regarding Brown's initial departure from Tennessee was highlighted after the trade was completed.

NFL insider Adam Schefter discussed the background on Tuesday's episode of "Get Up."

"Mike Vrabel never wanted to trade A. J.

Brown away in Tennessee, so he gets back the wide receiver he wanted and needed," Schefter said.

The reunion gives both individuals a consecutive opportunity to pursue a championship together. They previously failed to secure a Super Bowl title during their tenure with the Titans.
