The Seattle Seahawks are in the midst of their OTA offseason workouts, with the fifth day of the six-day program completed.

Rookie linebacker Tyrice Knight has arrived in excellent physical condition and established himself as the clear frontrunner for the third linebacker position, according to reports.

The defensive room features several developmental prospects vying for depth roles.

Video footage shared on X by Hawkblogger highlighted linebacker drills, including a prominent bag drill with multiple players rotating through.

The group went in a specific order: Ernest Jones and Drake Thomas led, followed by Chazz Surratt, Patrick O'Connell, Chris Paul Jr., and JaMarkus Weston, with Knight taking the final turn.

Observers noted Knight displayed distinct footwork during the drill, moving with noticeably quicker redirection than his teammates.

This athletic display aligns with his high draft status and youth relative to the rest of the group.

The Seahawks selected Knight higher than any other linebacker in his group besides Ernest Jones.

His performance validates the physical traits and athleticism the front office targeted during the draft.

Aside from Knight, the remaining linebackers are relatively unproven prospects. These athletes will face a critical evaluation period next week during mandatory minicamp practices.

While late-round draft picks can use strong preseason game performances to stake their claim, Knight holds a significant testing advantage.

He possesses speed and agility metrics in the 70th to 80th percentile among linebackers.

Competing linebackers with larger physical profiles will need to demonstrate equivalent mobility for their size to challenge the rookie.

The upcoming minicamp will serve as the next benchmark for these roster battles.
