The North Carolina Tar Heels are two wins away from returning to the College World Series after sweeping the Chapel Hill Regional.

Their next opponent is the USC Trojans.

The best-of-three NCAA super regional series will be played at Boshamer Stadium this weekend. The winner earns a spot in Omaha.

Team Records and Path to Super Regional

North Carolina enters with a 48-11-1 record.

This marks the third straight year the program has hosted a super regional and the second consecutive season it welcomes a traditional baseball powerhouse.

USC brings a 47-16 record after winning the College Station Regional. The Trojans battled through the elimination bracket and swept Texas A&M in the final round.

Pitching Staff Highlights

USC's rotation is led by Mason Edwards, who is undefeated at 8-0.

He was named Big Ten Pitcher of the Year with a 1.85 ERA and a conference-leading 164 strikeouts.

Grant Govel supports the rotation with a 10-2 record, a 2.93 ERA, and 96 strikeouts over 98.1 innings, allowing only 15 walks.

Andrew Johnson serves as the third starter, posting a 7-2 record with a 3.46 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 80.2 innings.

Closer Adam Troy has a 4.09 ERA, 38 strikeouts, and a team-high 12 saves over 33.0 innings.
