The two-way star allowed only two hits and struck out six batters, lowering his ERA to 0.74 through 10 starts this season.

That mark places him just behind Jacob deGrom and Juan Marichal for the lowest ERA through the first 10 starts of a season.
Ohtani rebounded from command issues with his four-seam fastball in his previous start on May 27.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts gave the 31-year-old extra flexibility to operate as a two-way player after managing his workload following a plate struggle last May.
"Today was definitely a lot better than last time," Ohtani said. "Hard to say if today was really good.
I have to look back and review it. But what I could tell for sure is better than last time."

He also excelled offensively, reaching base five times with three hits and two walks.
The Dodgers' offense erupted early, with Kyle Tucker hitting a two-run home run in the first inning.
Freddie Freeman and Max Muncy added RBI singles, and Alex Freeland capped the scoring with a late two-run single.
The victory was the 40th of the season for Los Angeles, giving them a 2-1 lead in the four-game series.
