Local authorities arrested the intruder on charges of criminal trespass and intentionally interfering with a lawful gathering.
Wembanyama said he was surprised by the incident. "I've never been in that situation, I didn't know how to act," he stated.
The league confirmed the permanent bans for the court invader and an undisclosed accomplice. Officials noted the intruder did not make physical contact with any athlete.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver addressed the growing trend of spectators disrupting major events for digital attention. "I even hesitate to describe that person as a fan.
They seemed to have an ulterior motive," Silver said.

Silver added that such incidents are "unfortunately part of all sports" and highlighted the risks of global attention.
"The consequences are dramatic if you do this," he warned.
League officials are reviewing arena protocols to prevent future breaches as high-profile games continue.
Security measures are also being adjusted for potential high-profile political attendees at upcoming matches in New York.
The incident has raised broader security discussions across multiple sports leagues, especially with the upcoming football World Cup.
