Trent Alexander-Arnold's future at Real Madrid is uncertain after a challenging debut season marked by injuries and inconsistent form, fueling rumors of a potential return to the Premier League with Arsenal.
The 27-year-old right-back made only 14 La Liga starts in the 2025-2026 campaign under former manager Xabi Alonso and interim boss Alvaro Arbeloa.

His struggles were compounded by his omission from England's World Cup squad.
Real Madrid's reported move to sign Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries under incoming manager Jose Mourinho has added to the speculation surrounding Alexander-Arnold's position at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Sheringham Backs Arsenal Move
Former Manchester United and Tottenham striker Teddy Sheringham told BOYLE Sports that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could provide the structured environment needed to revive Alexander-Arnold's career.
"Liverpool fans might not want him back, so it does narrow down where he could go," Sheringham said.
He acknowledged that the defender does not immediately fit Arsenal's resilient defensive unit but believes proper coaching could address his vulnerabilities.
"Even if you have an organised back four with fantastic players, if you leave him on his own Trent looks all over the place," Sheringham explained, comparing the situation to Harry Maguire's struggles at Manchester United.
Sheringham argued that integration into a cohesive system would unlock Alexander-Arnold's attacking qualities.
"If you put Trent in an organised, structured back four, and they work as a unit, that's what playing in a team like Arsenal is all about," he said.
