"I would say loads, actually," she said, noting that her own internal drive also serves as a critical factor during competition.
"Oh dear God, I'm going to throw up," Boulter joked, clarifying that she is proud of de Minaur's achievements.
"I'm just joking, I'm very proud of what he does – he's one of the motivators that keeps me going."
Boulter identified her drive to win as a primary personal characteristic. "I'm a very competitive person.
That's one of my biggest traits," she said.
She also recounted her interaction with the Princess of Wales during a tennis match.
"She was cracking jokes… she was really enjoying the tennis," Boulter said, adding that the Princess was "surprising… and absolutely stunning."

Boulter remembered a childhood conversation with Queen Elizabeth II at the opening of the National Tennis Centre in 2007.
"I remember she asked if we still do schooling alongside our tennis," she recalled. "As a 14-year-old kid, my answer was pretty long-winded."
Boulter expressed her feelings about encountering major tennis stars at tournaments.
"I'm always starstruck when you've got the likes of Roger Federer, Serena Williams and Rafael Nadal walking around next to you, living their normal lives," she said.
She highlighted her 2019 Hopman Cup match against Serena Williams as a landmark career event, describing it as "the pinnacle of sport."
Off the court, Boulter noted her appreciation for fashion opportunities, citing Ralph & Russo as a top choice.
