Honda has unveiled a 2027 Limited Edition of the Prelude, available exclusively in Japan.

The special model adds a striking red exterior and matching interior details, while the hybrid powertrain remains unchanged.

The 2027 Limited Edition is priced at ¥6,306,300 (approximately $39,300), just $800 more than the standard Prelude.

It is already available for order and is scheduled to reach Japanese dealers on August 20.

Distinctive Styling Inside and Out

The exterior features Premium Crystal Garnet Metallic paint, a new shade for the Prelude.

Red accents replace the standard blue on the bumpers, and the 19-inch alloy wheels come in a Machined Black Clear finish behind red Brembo brakes.

The interior receives Bordeaux inserts on the front seats, center console, and dashboard.

Black leather upholstery with Bordeaux contrasting stitching completes the cabin, while the Prelude embroidered logo on the passenger dash is red instead of white.

This limited edition follows the launch ON Limited Edition from September 2025, which had a Moonlit Pearl finish with black accents.

The 2027 version aims to draw renewed attention to the hybrid coupe in its home market.

Powertrain and Performance Unchanged

Mechanically, the 2027 Limited Edition shares the same hybrid setup as the standard Prelude.

A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and dual electric motors produce a combined 200 hp (149 kW / 203 PS), driving the front wheels.

The Honda S+Shift system simulates gear changes through torque mapping and sound effects, enhancing the driving experience.

No changes have been made to the chassis or suspension.

Honda has not confirmed whether this special edition will be offered in other markets, including North America. The 2027 model year availability outside Japan remains uncertain.
