Brazil midfielder Lucas Paqueta attributed his team's improved performance in a 3-0 World Cup group stage victory against Haiti to a sharper tactical focus.

Paqueta kept his place in the starting lineup under manager Carlo Ancelotti despite recent criticism over his display against Morocco.

He highlighted that his long-standing partnership with Bruno Guimaraes has helped the squad adapt quickly to Ancelotti's system.

Paqueta on Team Growth

"The first game was a bit anxious, it was our debut, that's normal. We recognized that and put more quality into our focus, not just effort.

A World Cup match is never easy, but we built the result and are happy with the win," Paqueta said.

He also praised the coaching staff's understanding of his and Guimaraes' playing styles. "The coach knows our characteristics well.

Bruno and I know each other well, and I'm happy to help him on the pitch. We need to keep growing and evolving," he added.

Raphinha Injury Concern

Beyond tactics, Brazil is managing concern over forward Raphinha, who left the pitch in the first half with right thigh pain.

"We are all worried. We hope it's nothing serious.

I don't know anything yet; he still needs to undergo tests," Paqueta said.
