The Boston Celtics and Miami Heat have emerged as the leading contenders to acquire Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo, with the NBA trade market intensifying just before Tuesday's draft.

According to reports from The New York Times and CBS Sports, the Bucks face a self-imposed deadline to decide on trading the two-time MVP before the first round begins on June 23, 2026.

Trade Package Details

League executives believe any deal involving the Celtics would require All-Star forward Jaylen Brown as the centerpiece of the trade package sent to Milwaukee.

CBS Sports reported that Boston could route Brown to a third team to gather the young players and draft capital the Bucks seek.

The Miami Heat are also aggressively pursuing Antetokounmpo as their top offseason priority.
