Selected 21st overall in 2021, the speedy winger appeared in only 12 NHL games, recording one goal and two assists.
Lysell spent most of his time with the AHL's Providence Bruins, where he tallied 163 points in 219 games over four seasons.
He failed to secure a permanent roster spot during training camps in 2024 and 2025, prompting the trade.

Ivan, 23, joins Boston after playing the 2025-26 season with the AHL's Colorado Eagles, posting 11 goals and 15 assists in 66 games.
The Czech forward also has 49 games of NHL experience, with nine career points for the Avalanche.
The trade further depletes Boston's 2021 draft class, as several picks have already left the organization.
