The Colorado Avalanche and Boston Bruins completed a player-for-player trade on Saturday, June 27, 2026. Colorado acquired forward Fabian Lysell, while sending forward Ivan Ivan to Boston.

Lysell, 23, spent the 2025-26 season with the Providence Bruins in the American Hockey League.

He recorded 17 goals and 25 assists for 42 points in 57 games, with a plus-13 rating.

Over four AHL seasons with Providence, Lysell has been a key offensive contributor. He has totaled 163 points (57 goals, 106 assists) in 219 career AHL games.

Originally selected in the first round of the 2021 NHL Draft by Boston, Lysell has also played 12 NHL games with the Bruins, recording three points.

Ivan, also 23, played the 2025-26 season with the AHL's Colorado Eagles. He tallied 26 points (11 goals, 15 assists) in 66 regular-season games.

During the Calder Cup Playoffs, Ivan provided a significant offensive boost.

He recorded three goals and 12 assists in 17 games, helping the Eagles reach the Western Conference Finals.

Ivan has 69 points (25 goals, 44 assists) in 169 career AHL games.

At the NHL level, he has five goals and four assists in 49 games with Colorado, including nine appearances in the most recent season.
