The Duke of Sussex is reconsidering his plans to bring his wife and children to the United Kingdom next month, as reported by The Guardian.

This follows the British government's refusal to grant his request for taxpayer-funded police protection during the visit.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle intended to make their first family trip to Britain in four years.

The journey was planned around events for the Invictus Games, which will take place in Birmingham this July.

The upcoming visit previously brought excitement for Prince Harry, who looked forward to reuniting seven-year-old Prince Archie and five-year-old Princess Lilibet with King Charles.

However, the travel plans became uncertain when the government denied police security outside official royal residences.

Government Stance on Security

A government spokesperson addressed the situation on Sunday, emphasizing the structural integrity of national security decisions. "The UK government’s protective security system is rigorous and proportionate.

It is our longstanding policy not to provide detailed information on those arrangements, as doing so could compromise their integrity and affect individuals’ security."

Reports indicate that Prince Harry felt distraught after learning about the decision, which came just days before the family's scheduled arrival.

Despite the setback, he remains eager to find an alternative arrangement to make the trip possible.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes has been contacted for comment regarding the security dispute.

This situation follows a legal battle last year where Prince Harry challenged the Home Office over automatic police protection in the UK, arguing that traveling without it was unsafe for his family.
