Fernandez Delighted with Sprint Win

"I am very happy," said Fernandez after the race. "This is my second Sprint race victory this year.

I didn't believe in this discipline at all last year; I wasn't very strong in this format."

He praised the team effort, adding: "It's also incredible for the team. A one-two finish means we've worked very well.

Ai Ogura was very fast at the end of the race. I think he had a better pace than me, while I was a bit on the limit."

Trackhouse Racing capitalized on a strong weekend for Aprilia, which locked out the top three qualifying positions earlier.

Factory riders Marco Bezzecchi and Jorge Martin remain well-positioned for the main Grand Prix on Sunday.
