Team News and Coach's View
Wakefield Head Coach Daryl Powell made one change to his 21-man squad, drafting forward Jordan Williams to replace Matty Storton.
Powell noted that while the team suffered a heavy 48-10 loss to Wigan Warriors two weeks prior, the squad bounced back strongly in their last outing.
"We had a little bit of a rattler in terms of the Wigan game - they are playing at another level at the minute and we were well below our level, but overall we are in a good place," Powell said.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining performance levels across the remaining twelve games of the regular season to secure a strong finish.
"We have got a good opportunity to improve and get after these 12 games.
We are over half way through the season and we've given ourselves a really good platform," Powell added.
Wakefield previously defeated Huddersfield 18-16 in Round 2 back in February, continuing a four-match winning streak against the Giants.
"It is about kicking on now and being consistent in the way we play and making sure our standards don't drop too much," Powell explained.
