World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the second round of Wimbledon on Monday with a straight-sets victory over Serbian qualifier Teodora Kostovic.
The three-time semifinalist won 6-2, 6-3 on Centre Court in 64 minutes.

com, Sabalenka's undefeated record against qualifiers in Grand Slam main draws improved to 12-0 without dropping a set.
The win also marked her 30th straight-sets triumph of the 2026 season.
Kostovic, ranked No. 184, made her Grand Slam debut at age 19 against the four-time Grand Slam champion.
Sabalenka built a quick 4-0 lead in the opening set before closing it out in just over half an hour.

Kostovic showed a fiery presence on court, challenging the top seed and breaking Sabalenka's serve at 5-2 in the second set.
However, the world's top player quickly recovered to seal the match.
"She brought a really good fight, stepped in a little bit more in second set, pushed me a little bit more.
I'm happy that I was able to close this match in straight sets," said Sabalenka.
The victory marks Sabalenka's 23rd consecutive win in a Grand Slam opening match.

She is scheduled to face McCartney Kessler on Wednesday, who entered the second round following a 6-0, 6-0 victory over Oleksandra Olinynkova.
