The midfielder expressed excitement about joining the club and working under manager Steve Evans.

"Bristol Rovers is a big club and I'm really looking forward to getting started," Aitchison said.

He highlighted the club's ambition and culture as key factors in his decision.

"The manager has been promoted a lot of times, and watching from the outside, he was in with the fans at one game, and it looks like there is a real culture there that I want to be a part of."

Aitchison also spoke about playing at the Memorial Stadium. "I'm buzzing to play at The Mem.

I've heard a lot of good stuff. I know some people who have played there, and they said the fans are unbelievable."

He noted that having a familiar face in the squad will help his transition.

"I know Ben Purrington, who has signed already, so it's good that I know someone already."

Manager Steve Evans praised Aitchison's versatility and potential. "Jack is a gifted lad, a Glasgow boy.

He can play in several attacking positions," Evans said.

Evans believes Aitchison can develop into a top Championship player. "If we can add goals to his game, he's a top, top Championship player.

He gets into some great positions, so we know what we have to develop."

Aitchison began his career at Celtic, where he remains the youngest player to debut and score for the club.
