Quebec City has outlined service adjustments for the Canada Day statutory holiday on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
Municipal offices, banks, and federal service centers will be closed, while essential businesses and some provincial outlets will remain open.

According to a schedule from Le Soleil, grocery stores, pharmacies, convenience stores, and gas stations will operate as usual.
Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ) branches also plan to serve customers during the holiday.
Public transit will follow the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) holiday schedule.
Regular trash and recycling collection will continue on normal timetables, and all local ecocentres will maintain standard summer hours.

Financial institutions, including banks and caisses, along with Canada Post offices, will be fully closed.
Société québécoise du cannabis (SQDC) branches are also scheduled to shut down for the national holiday.
Provincial government service points, such as the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec (SAAQ), and federal offices like passport bureaus, will suspend operations.

All Quebec City municipal offices, the 311 service lines, civic service centers, and libraries will be closed.
