Avelo Airlines announced it will launch scheduled commercial passenger service from McKinney National Airport in North Texas, making it the carrier's fifth main base.
The Houston-based airline plans to base two Boeing 737-800 aircraft at the airport, creating over 100 regional jobs for pilots, flight attendants, mechanics, and airport personnel.

McKinney National Airport secured $52.4 million earlier this year for infrastructure improvements, including a new passenger terminal, after serving only general aviation traffic.
Initial Routes and Schedule
Commercial operations will begin on November 11, 2026, with a flight to Fort Myers, Florida, operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
On November 12, 2026, Avelo will add routes to Orlando and Las Vegas, followed by flights to Fort Lauderdale and Tampa on November 19, 2026.

The nonstop service between Las Vegas' Harry Reid International Airport and McKinney will operate four times per week on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
Introductory one-way fares for the Las Vegas route start at $99, with bookings made through July including the first checked bag free of charge.

McKinney will become the third commercial airport in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, joining Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and Dallas Love Field.
