The band braved rainy weather to perform before thousands of fans.

The concert marks the 20th anniversary celebration of the group's landmark 2006 rock-opera album. The band performed the album front-to-back with updated live orchestration.

Local alternative rock veterans Echo & The Bunnymen opened the stadium show as the primary supporting act. This was reported by the Liverpool Echo and Time Out.

A stadium safety notice displayed on screens warned attendees about the production elements before the music commenced.

The notice read: "Strobe lighting and other intense lighting will be used during this show.

It will not be safe for those with epilepsy and other conditions with sensitivity to light. Please see a medical staff member for details if you are concerned."

Fans traveled from across the country to witness the tour restart. Many expressed deep emotional connections to the alternative music pioneers.

"They are huge advocates for mental health struggles, the LGBTQ community, as well as a lot of other important matters," said Aimee Brearey, a concert attendee from Stoke on Trent.

Other dedicated followers highlighted how the community built around the band provides a welcoming space for individuals who feel out of place.

"It is for all the outcasts," said Morgan Harris, a fan from Tamworth.
