According to a report by Futboltuber on June 30, 2026, the Mexican club concludes its commercial partnership with Puma on Tuesday to transition into a new sponsorship deal with the American sportswear brand.

Fans had anticipated seeing the new official game kit during an upcoming friendly match against Correcaminos. Instead, the team will wear temporary Nike training gear.

The return of Nike evokes nostalgia for the fan base, as the club previously secured a historic league championship during the Verano 1997 tournament while wearing the brand's red-and-white striped design.

Although Chivas is expected to officially announce the sponsorship at its Verde Valle facilities ahead of the Apertura 2026 tournament, the primary match kit will remain unreleased until the official season begins.
