Hubert Hurkacz has secured his place in the third round of Wimbledon after a straight-sets victory over Austria's Sebastian Ofner on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, in London.
The Polish player won 7-6(8), 6-4, 6-4 on Court 14 in a match that lasted nearly two hours.

First Set Battle
The opening set was tightly contested, with both players holding serve.
Hurkacz saved four break points while trailing 0-40 in the ninth game and later recovered from 0-30 in the eleventh game.
The set went to a tie-break, where Hurkacz saved a set point at 8-8 with a net approach and won 10-8 on the only mini-break.
Second and Third Sets
Hurkacz took control early in the second set, breaking Ofner's serve after a double fault to lead 4-1 with a double break.

Ofner broke back once, but Hurkacz held on to win 6-4.
The third set remained close until Hurkacz broke Ofner at 4-4 and served out the match.
Earlier in the tournament, Hurkacz eliminated world number 12 Casper Ruud in the first round. Ofner, ranked 110th, reached the second round by defeating Hamad Medjedovic.
