British actress Lisa Faulkner announced on Tuesday that she has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and recently underwent successful surgery.
The 54-year-old, known for her roles in Holby City and EastEnders, shared the news with her 372,000 Instagram followers.

uk, Faulkner said doctors have given her the all-clear after the operation, which took place two weeks ago.
“I’ve had to have surgery because I’ve had the very early stages of breast cancer,” Faulkner said.
She described the procedure as “quite a big op” but noted that results showed “they’ve got everything out, and so it’s all clear.”
Faulkner will still need to undergo radiotherapy sessions in the coming weeks as part of her treatment plan.

“I’ve still got quite a bit of healing to do, but I’m good, I’m well, and feeling so much better,” she added.
The mother of four emphasized the importance of routine mammograms, saying she is “so grateful” she attended her screening.
“Don’t put them off, go, because they found this and without that mammogram it wouldn’t have been picked up,” Faulkner urged.
She also expressed appreciation for the National Health Service for her scan and subsequent treatment.
Faulkner married chef John Torode in 2019.

Her announcement follows a period of public scrutiny for Torode, who was dismissed from his television role nearly a year ago after a misconduct review.
