Paramount+ has officially renewed the drama series Dutton Ranch for a second season ahead of its upcoming season finale, set for Friday, July 3.

The renewal follows record-breaking viewership numbers for the debut season.

The nine-episode first season concludes with an episode titled "El Padrino," airing at 3:01 a. m.

ET on Paramount+ and at 8:00 p. m.

ET on Paramount Network.

Record-Breaking Viewership

According to a company press release, the show achieved major network benchmarks during its initial rollout.

Dutton Ranch amassed 12.9 million viewers globally in the seven days following its premiere, marking the biggest original series launch in Paramount+ history.

The series also delivered 2.9 million total viewers during its two-episode debut on Paramount Network on May 15, making it the biggest series premiere on cable since 2023.

With 1.85 million viewers for the premiere telecast alone, it ranked as the #1 cable entertainment telecast among adults 18-49 and total viewers.

When the western drama returns for its second season, Benjamin Cavell will take over as showrunner, replacing Chad Feehan, who departed three weeks before the series premiere.

The upcoming finale focuses on escalating conflicts surrounding characters Beth and Rip as secrets surface regarding a cattle herd belonging to the character Beulah, played by Annette Bening.

"Rip and Beth confront escalating danger as secrets surface in Beulah's herd, sparking a standoff and pulling their family into a fight that threatens everything they've tried to hold together," the network stated.

The finale will be available on the ad-supported Paramount+ Essential plan for $8.99 per month, the ad-free Premium tier for $13.99 per month, or via traditional cable providers hosting Paramount Network.
