Comedian Cheri Oteri revived her iconic Barbara Walters impersonation during CNN's live broadcast of "Independence Eve Live With Anderson and Andy: Celebrating 250" on Friday night.
The Saturday Night Live alum joined television hosts Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen during the special program marking the first-ever Times Square summer ball drop.

The performance marked the first time Oteri portrayed the legendary journalist on CNN since Walters passed away on December 30, 2022.
During the segment, Oteri checked in from the afterlife to comment on modern earthly topics such as artificial intelligence, aliens, and the media, causing Cooper to break into uncontrollable laughter.
Oteri detailed the fictional setting of her character's current residence during the live special.
"Heaven," said Cheri Oteri, Actress.
The actress explained that a late music icon assisted her in making contact with the live television broadcast.

Oteri then referenced political and cultural events before delivering a joke directed at Cohen's television network.
"I almost materialized into the traditional American apple pie White House cage match," said Cheri Oteri, Actress.
She continued her satirical critique of reality television programming from the afterlife.
"But I said, 'If I wanted to watch two bitches fighting, I would tune into your Bravo, Andrew,'" said Cheri Oteri, Actress.
The appearance recalled Oteri's long history with the impersonation, which she performed 22 times on Saturday Night Live before debuting it on CNN during the 2019 New Year's Eve broadcast.

"I can finally say with confidence, this is 2020," said Cheri Oteri, Actress.
