Egypt's national football team has resolved a physical altercation with law enforcement in Dallas after receiving an official apology from the local police department.
Head coach Hossam Hassan confirmed the situation is now cleared.

The incident occurred in the lobby of the team's hotel in Dallas, just a day before Egypt secured a victory against Australia in the round of 32 of the World Cup.
Footage shared online showed Hassan and team director Ibrahim Hassan in a heated dispute with a Dallas police officer, which escalated into a shoving match.
The confrontation reportedly began when team management tried to assist a player who was attempting to take a photograph with a young fan.
According to a statement from Dallas police, officers arrived following a request from hotel security regarding an individual trying to enter without proper credentials.
The local police department stated that the matter was settled directly on-site, and officials later met with Egyptian representatives to address their concerns.

Hassan clarified through an interpreter that the team chose to accept the apology extended by law enforcement representatives.
"We are really happy to be here at this tournament and we are satisfied with the security personnel that are accompanying us," Hassan said.
"I would like to point to the high-level organization we have with us and the level of security we have with us," he added.
Hassan holds a historic position as the first individual to both play and coach for the Egyptian national team at a World Cup tournament.

Following the resolution of the hotel incident, Egypt achieved a major milestone by defeating Australia during their debut appearance in the knockout phase of the competition.
