House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, is facing potential misdemeanor charges after a hit-and-run incident in Yountville, California, on Friday.

The Napa County Sheriff's Office reported that Pelosi was driving a brown convertible when he struck a legally parked car, causing major damage to the vehicle.

A witness called 911, and deputies later found Pelosi about a quarter-mile away with front-end damage to his car.

Officials confirmed there were no signs of alcohol consumption.

The sheriff's office recommended a misdemeanor charge for fleeing the scene of an accident, as no injuries occurred.

They also referred Pelosi to the Department of Motor Vehicles to evaluate his driving eligibility.

A spokesperson for the Pelosis said Paul had personally apologized to the car owner and assured them he would take responsibility for the damage.

The spokesperson added that Nancy Pelosi would not comment further on the private matter.

This incident follows a 2022 case where Paul Pelosi pleaded guilty to driving under the influence in Napa County, resulting in a five-day jail sentence and three years of probation.
