World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka advanced to the fourth round at Wimbledon after a clinical 6-4, 6-4 victory over Jelena Ostapenko on Friday.
The top-seeded Belarusian controlled the match from Centre Court. She used a powerful baseline game to disrupt Ostapenko's rhythm.

Ostapenko mounted a brief comeback in the second set. However, Sabalenka kept her composure to finish the contest in straight sets.
The win sets up a round-of-16 match against Japan's Naomi Osaka.
This is a historic milestone for Osaka, who reached the fourth round at Wimbledon for the first time in her career.
Sabalenka leads their head-to-head record 3-1. That includes a straight-sets victory at the French Open earlier this season.

"Another aggressive player. Another very powerful match.
I'm ready to fight and do whatever it takes to get through," Sabalenka said.
With this victory, the top seed aims to secure her 15th consecutive Grand Slam quarter-final appearance.

Sabalenka previously reached the semi-finals in her last three appearances at the All England Club.
