The Anaheim Ducks are finalizing a multi-year contract extension with restricted free agent defenseman Pavel Mintyukov, according to a Sportsnet report on Sunday.
The upcoming agreement is expected to mirror the contract recently signed by Los Angeles Kings defenseman Brandt Clarke, which carries an average annual value of $7.4 million.

This extension removes Mintyukov from offer sheet eligibility amid interest from multiple teams.
The negotiation follows a major development where the Philadelphia Flyers signed Ducks star center Leo Carlsson to a record-setting offer sheet worth an $18 million average annual value.
Anaheim has until Friday to decide whether to match the offer for Carlsson. The team also remains without a deal for restricted free agent Cutter Gauthier.

Mintyukov, a 22-year-old Russian defenseman selected 10th overall in 2022, recorded eight goals and 22 points across 73 games during the 2025-26 season.
Over his three-year NHL career spanning 204 games, he has accumulated 17 goals and 52 assists for 69 points.
With Olen Zellweger recently traded, Mintyukov is positioned for an expanded role on Anaheim's blue line next season.
