Jason Durr is set to appear on EastEnders as Clive Masters, a local councillor arriving in Albert Square this summer.
The 58-year-old actor, known for roles in Casualty and Heartbeat, will play the mysterious character in a guest stint.

Clive Masters' Storyline
Clive enters the narrative as Walford residents rally to protect their community centre from redevelopment. His character forms a significant bond with Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright.
"Few shows command their place in the national conversation quite like EastEnders, so I'm delighted to be joining the cast as Clive Masters," Durr said.
He praised working with Bright, calling it "an absolute joy and pleasure from day one."
Durr added that the cast and crew have been "incredibly generous, welcoming and good humoured." He expressed excitement for audiences to meet Clive and see what lies ahead.

Return of Gray Atkins
The soap also confirmed the return of Toby-Alexander Smith as Gray Atkins.
Executive producer Ben Wadey noted that while Gray remains imprisoned, his presence will continue to affect the community.
Smith described returning to the role as "very surreal" and called Gray "one of the most complex characters I've had the opportunity to play."
He said revisiting the character after several years has been an exciting challenge.

Gray was sentenced to prison in 2022 for multiple crimes. Wadey stated that "Gray's physical separation from Walford is no match for his levels of manipulation."
