Lauren Bennett, the British-born singer who performed with the girl group G. R.

L.

and lent her vocals to LMFAO's global hit "Party Rock Anthem," has died at the age of 37.

Her bandmates announced the news on Instagram.

G. R.

L. confirmed her passing through a social media statement, though no specific cause of death was provided.

"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lauren," the group wrote.

"Our hearts are broken, and we cannot begin to express how much she meant to us."

Bennett first gained attention as a teenager on "The X-Factor" before moving to Los Angeles at 17 to join the Paradiso Girls.

With that group, she reached No. 3 on the US dance club songs chart in 2009 with the single "Patron Tequila."

After featuring on LMFAO's 2011 smash, she joined G. R.

L. , which scored a UK top 20 hit with "Ugly Heart."

The group also faced tragedy in 2016 when member Simone Battle died. In response, G.

R. L.

partnered with the mental health charity Give an Hour and released a tribute track titled "Lighthouse."

Bandmates Remember Her Spirit

In their statement, G. R.

L. added: "We will forever cherish the love, laughter and countless memories she gave us.

Her beautiful spirit touched so many lives, and she will be deeply missed and forever loved."

Bennett had spoken about the mental health initiative following Battle's death, saying, "There's a lot of young people who are taking their own lives, and the music industry is so influential on youth.

Hopefully, for us, we would love to help at least one person."
