According to Digital Spy, the trouble begins when Ryan Connor finds an unconscious Betsy collapsed on the kitchen floor.
Emergency services rush the teenager to Weatherfield General Hospital for an urgent MRI scan.
As Betsy undergoes medical evaluations and experiences a sudden seizure on the ward, tensions erupt between her protective mother, Lisa Connor-Swain, and Betsy's boyfriend, Dylan Wilson.
"Betsy's life is on the line, and Lisa is absolutely terrified that she's going to lose her precious girl," warns an insider to Digital Spy.
Lisa quickly points the finger at Dylan, believing he bears direct responsibility for her daughter's sudden medical emergency despite Betsy's weak pleas to drop the accusations.
"Emotions are already running high at the hospital as Lisa and Carla wait for news.
But there's a massive twist when Lisa has reason to believe that Dylan is responsible for what Betsy is going through, and sees red," explains the Street insider.
Dylan is left completely blindsided when Lisa publicly confronts him in the cafe before officially reporting him for a crime at the local police station.
