EastEnders actress Laura Doddington has shared unseen behind-the-scenes footage on Instagram following the broadcast of a special "bucket list" episode on Tuesday, July 7, 2026.

The footage captures the filming of a high-stakes rescue storyline involving several prominent characters.

In the on-screen plot, rival characters Nicola Mitchell, played by Doddington, and Suki Panesar-Unwin, portrayed by Balvinder Sopal, were forced to cooperate.

Alongside Linda Carter, played by Kellie Bright, the group tracked down the kidnapped Honey Mitchell, who eventually escaped from her captor, Bea.

Following the broadcast, Doddington posted a reel of images detailing the location shoot on a low loader vehicle.

The actress expressed immense gratitude for the opportunity to work alongside her fellow cast members during the production of the road trip sequence.

"Honestly.

Big filming bucket list ticked - and to spend the day with these gorgeous girls on location was just a dream," wrote Doddington.

She further commended her co-stars for their dedication throughout the complex narrative arc.

"This job is simply the best and I absolutely loved working with the icons that are @kelliebrightofficial , @balvindasopal and @emmabarton who has been completely brilliant throughout this whole storyline!"

she added.

Members of the cast quickly responded to the social media post to share their own experiences from the set.

"What an absolute ride!!!" wrote Balvinder Sopal.

Guest star Ronni Ancona, who portrayed the antagonist Bea, also sent a message to the group.

"Love you Dodders & miss you all !" wrote Ancona.

Additionally, Jacqueline Jossa, who portrays Lauren Branning on the soap opera, offered a brief assessment of the onscreen lineup.

"Too many icons," wrote Jossa.

Audience reception to the broadcast was highly positive, with viewers praising the dynamic between Nicola and Suki.

According to digital spy, fans online suggested the duo could become highly impactful partners if their character feud permanently concludes, with some calling for a dedicated spin-off series.

EastEnders broadcasts regularly from Monday through Thursday at 7:30 p. m.

on BBC One.

Episodes are also made available for early streaming at 6:00 a. m.
